From where does electricity come to your home?

The modes for generation of electric power are hydroelectric, thermal and diesel. Apart from hydroelectric, thermal power plants require fossil fuels like coal and natural gas to heat the liquid that converts steam energy into electric energy.

Burning fossil fuels like coal increases in greenhouse gas emissions, particularly carbon dioxide (CO2) which lead to rising global temperatures and climate change. Climate change already contributes to serious environmental and public health issues, including extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and ecosystem changes.

Whereas, If you use solar to generate the same amount of electricity, it means you have planted  60 trees on your roof. Because single tree observes around ~20kgs of carbon dioxide per year.
